The Hidden Treasures of Andalusia

Andalusia is without a doubt the province that best evokes the spirit of a country where living and passion dictate the rhythm of daily life. Spain is a country famous for flamenco, fiestas, tapas and bullfights, and a stay here will allow you to discover its charm and beauty.

Visit Spain

A visit to Spain can be the ideal choice if you long for a getaway in southern Europe. Despite the 320 sunny days a year, Andalusia means much more than sea, sun and sand. It has inspired great writers, poets, actors and painters over time. Andalusia is not only the setting for the famous opera Carmen, but it also fascinated the well-known novelists Ernest Hemingway and Laurie Lee with its beauty. At the same time, Andalusia gave the whole world the magic of Pablo Picasso, born in Malaga, and Velazquez, the famous portrait painter of the imperial court in the 17th century.

Far from the seaside, there is another world, defined by "white villages" immortalized as in the past, with a slow-moving pace of life, winding cobbled streets, greenery, hills with traditional farms, a world where some of the most beautiful cities of Spain (Seville, Cordoba, Granada, Cadiz) take their visitors back in time, to the time of the Moors and the glorious Spanish Colonial Empire.

The circuit proposed by us reveals the many facets of Andalusia. Start by discovering its traditions (among which the most remarkable is the breeding of Andalusian horses), its extraordinary and wild landscapes, typical villages, and then immerse yourself in its rich history and culture, exploring Seville, Cordoba and Granada, true architectural gems. Last, but not least, enjoy the coveted Andalusian sun in one of the resorts on the Costa del Sol.

Must see

The tours we create are tailor made. We believe that the regions below should not be missed, but we leave it to you to choose how much time you want to spend in each place and what experiences will have during this unforgettable trip.

Sierra de Ronda

On the peaks of the Sierra Mountain range from Ronda, time seems to have stopped. The Palaces, the Arab baths, the watchtowers, the Roman amphitheaters, and the grottoes follow as nowhere in the landscapes here. Built in a natural setting of rare beauty, against the background of the steep mountains, the villages of Ronda impress with their white buildings, which shine under the rays of the scorching sun and open to breathtaking panoramas.

You can discover here both Phoenician ruins (at Jimena de Líbar) and Roman ruins (at Acinipo) and Moorish influences at Algatocín and Atajate, located among olive trees and vineyards.

The natural parks of Sierra de las Nieves, Sierra Bermeja and Sierra Crestellina also impress with their biodiversity and beauty.

Sevilia

The pearl of Andalusia, Seville seduces with its sublime monuments and very soothing atmosphere. Tapas bars, the intoxicating scent of orange blossoms, beautiful women who proudly parade in traditional flamenco outfits, gorgeous mosaics and blue azulejos, symbols of the history of bullfighters in Spain and dazzling testimonies of past splendor from the Muslim era – all this fascinates and delights visitors.

The ancient palaces, gardens and mosques transformed into churches or cathedrals, mingle with the riches brought from the Americas, with the flamenco dances, the bullfights, the holidays (ferias) and the delicious tapas under a bright ubiquitous sun.

The pedestrian center studded with oranges (over 80,000 trees) and the neo-mudejar style facades exude a special charm which spells, without exception, all visitors to the Andalusian capital.

Cordoba

The result of a cultural mix of Muslim, Jewish and Catholic influences, Cordoba is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful cities in Andalusia. Symbol of tolerance and harmony between peoples, Cordoba hides in its historical center a thousand and one treasures that must be visited, and which make it worthy of a UNESCO cultural heritage.

Prestigious cultural center, the former capital of Hispania and the birthplace of Seneca, the city harmoniously combines traditions with modernism, being a symbol of Andalusian traditions, flamenco, bullfighting and traditional festivals (Cruces de Maio, International Guitar Festival, Festival of Gardens).

Granada

The Andalusian pearl and the easternmost city among the former Spanish capitals, Granada takes pride in its many attractions. Located at the foot of the Sierra Nevada Mountain range, the highest in the Iberian Peninsula, and a stone's throw from the famous Mediterranean beaches, Granada is littered with mudejar, Moorish art treasures, but at the same time delights its visitors with its Baroque pomp and splendor, specific to Catholics.

Included in the UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1984, Granada is an attractive city that cultivates a quiet atmosphere during the day, but also knows how to spend the fall of the evening.

Costa del Sol

The "Sun Coast", as the seaside strip in southern Spain is called, was in ancient times a series of quiet fishing settlements. Starting with the twentieth century it has turned into a world-renowned tourist destination, known both for its white sandy beaches and for its culture and history, attracting both the political elite and the great cultural personalities of the century. With an enviable position, the Costa del Sol is also a good starting point in the exploration of Andalusia, with its monument cities of Seville, Cordoba, and Granada.

A stay in this corner of Mediterranean paradise means not only sophisticated resorts, exotic locations, palm trees and luxury beaches, but also windsurfing or wine tastings, cultural activities and festivals with Andalusian specific, all being the ingredients of a dream vacation.
